The SFA Championship 2023-24 schedule & the final sport wise schedule will be published on our website i.e., www.sfaplay.com at least 5 days prior to the championship. The matches will be conducted from 8 am to 5.30 pm on all days of the schedule; however,schedules for different sports may vary. There will be special considerations for few sports which may require more time to be completed.

Every Student must carry his/her school ID card along with his/her age proof (Aadhar Card Preferred) at all times during the tournament. No student will be allowed to play the match if they do not have a valid age proof alongwith theirschool ID. Studentsmust produce theirIDcards when required during the tournament.

The Student needs to report 60 minutes prior at the verification desk to get himself/herself verified and 15 minutes prior to the sport specific desk to report for his/her match. There will be directional signage to guide players at the venue.

SFA Championship 2023-24 allows participation from students between age groups 3 to 18. However, age groups vary from sport to sport as advised by respective sporting associations and federations.

SFA believes in giving all grassroots level players the highest professional sporting experience. Majority of our sports partners are National, State and District associations and federations. These organizations play an extremely crucial role in providing a professional experience by way of lending their expertise to their respective sport i.e. certified officials, draws and schedules, talent scouting, rules and regulations of the sport, infrastructure, equipment consultancy and so on.

Yes, any member of a team can be replaced one day prior to the commencement of SFA Championship 2023-24 in the city by sending a request to the registered email address, however, this decision is left solely to the discretion of the certified match officials and SFA Tournament Committee.

No, SFA will not be providing personal kit/gear to any students. All Students are expected to bring their own sporting gear/kit.

All draws, and schedules will be published on our website www.sfaplay.com at least 5 days prior to the Championship. All registered schools and registered students will be notified on their registered email IDs and mobile numbers.

Students/Teams must report at the venue’s verification desk 60 minutes prior to theirscheduled matchtime. On reporting, each student will have to show their school ID and age proof (Aadhar Card, Birth Certificate, Passport) to validate their details, after which their IDs will be verified and allocated. After this, students will have to proceed and report to the respective sport desk that he/she will be participating in, 15 minutes prior to theirscheduled match timing.

No, it is not necessary for the school’s entire contingent to arrive at the venue at the same time. Students can arrive as and when they have their matches. However, we encourage schools to send in as many students and parents to support their students.

The opposition student or team will get a walkover if the student or team fails to report at the scheduled time of the match. However, this decision is left solely to the discretion of the certified match officials.

In the event that a student, coach or parent wishes to lodge a protest against his/her/their opponent with respect to age or any other unfair practices etc. he/she will need to follow the below mentioned steps:

• Contact the tournament director/SFA Representative
• Fill the protest form
• Pay a deposit of Rs. 1000/-
• The protest committee will arrive at a decision within a maximum of 48 hours.

In the event that a student is found to be overage and has been disqualified, SFA will not be liable to conduct a rematch of any student/team who may have lost to the opponent in the interest of the time. However, the overage student will be disqualified without any prior notice.

The student may also face a ban on participating at the SFA Championship for up to 3 years. The same will be mentioned on his/her sporting profile on www.sfaplay.com

In the lieu of ONLY addressing genuine protests, SFA has taken the decision of levying a protest fee. Handling protests is a time-consuming process and has an impact on the schedule of the other matches scheduled on any given day. Hence, it is critical for SFA to address only the genuine ones to be able to provide a seamless sporting experience.

It is NOT necessary for schools to take an NOC from governing bodies of any other sports tournaments that they may be participating in, to register and participate in the SFA Championship.

Kindly note the SFA Championship will take place for 15 days at a stretch across multiple sports.It is an Olympic style inter-school competition. We try to ensure that there is no clash with any other inter- school tournaments. We encourage schools and players to play as many tournaments around the year as possible, to improve and excel in sports.
